A stunning 17″ Archtop hand crafted in the UK by Richard Fill who I have had the pleasure to have known for the last 10 years, meeting up over the years and discussing the wonderful world, trials and tribulations that is Luthierie..

Excelsior Guitars is the product of his passion for fine hand made instruments. 60 years of experience, man and boy, with a fine eye for detail this Super 17 guitar exudes quality and displays the utmost care for craftsmanship and excellence.

A beautiful custom made one off instrument that is truly inspired by one of the oldest archtop guitar companies with nods to the Lloyd Loan design made so famously with Wes Montgomery and the solid carved tops of the 50’s that were so adored. Lovely Spruce top, flame maple back & sides and maple neck with an ebony fretboard.

17″ Lower Bout, 1o.25″ Waist, 12.5″ Shoulders. 3.25″ Body Depth. 25.5″ Scale Length

Imperial Grover Tuners. 24 Carat gold plated original design tailpiece. Kent Armstong floating pickup.

45.5mm Nut. 56.4mm at the 12th.
