Fender Gerry McGee Stratocaster

Crafted in Japan

Serial Number R073568

A rare and highly sought-after Crafted in Japan Gerry McGee hard tail Stratocaster, built to honour the legendary guitarist of The Ventures. Produced in limited numbers by Fender Japan, this model combines vintage-inspired styling with the exceptional build quality that has made Japanese Fenders renowned among players and collectors alike.

Featuring a comfortable maple neck, classic Stratocaster contours, and versatile single-coil electronics (same as the Clapton model, TBX Boost) the Gerry McGee model delivers the articulate sparkle, warmth, and dynamic response that define the very best Strat tones. The superb Japanese craftsmanship ensures excellent playability, precise fretwork, and rock-solid reliability, making it equally suited to stage, studio, or collection.

With its distinctive artist pedigree, limited availability, and outstanding reputation, the CIJ Gerry McGee Stratocaster is far more than a standard Strat—it’s a rare piece of Fender Japan history. Whether you’re a Ventures fan, a collector of Japanese Fenders, or simply looking for a beautifully built Stratocaster with vintage character, this is an instrument that is becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Overall in very good condition, one small and very minor mark in the treble horn as photographed. Comes complete with original Fender Leather satchel/gig bag.
