When introduced in 1959, the ES-330 offered the appearance of the recently launched ES-335 models, and with similar materials. A Maple laminate body with a Mahogany neck and Rosewood fingerboard. However, there are significant structural differences. The ES330 is a fully hollow construction with no solid centre block. The neck is joined the body at the 16th fret, in 1968, the neck joint changed to the 19th fret, allowing more access and making the guitar longer.
While still a full 24.75″ scale, the 16 fret neck joint offers advantages, the guitar is physically shorter, and the fretting arm does not have to reach as far. The shorter neck also reduces weight. The P-90 Dog Ear pickups deliver a full, rich and fat tone with great response.
Overall in very good condition, a couple of signs of play wear as well as a small mark on the headstock/head veneer. A lovely acoustic tone, great weight and feel to the neck makes the guitar a very enjoyable and playable guitar! Just been fully serviced and setup with 11’s.
