A beautifully crafted 1998 Santa Cruz 000, built during one of the company’s most desirable periods. Featuring Indian rosewood back and sides paired with a responsive Sitka spruce top, this exceptional instrument showcases the renowned craftsmanship and tonal refinement that have made Santa Cruz guitars so highly regarded.

Built with the traditional 12-fret neck join and 25.5″ long scale, this 000 offers a wonderfully distinctive playing and tonal experience. The bridge sits closer to the centre of the lower bout, allowing the soundboard to move more freely and producing a deeper, fuller bass response than a comparable 14-fret design. The longer scale length adds increased string tension, delivering greater projection, enhanced clarity and a lively, articulate response while retaining excellent note separation.

Tonally, the combination of Sitka spruce and Indian rosewood is superbly balanced, producing a warm, piano-like bass, rich and complex midrange, and shimmering trebles with exceptional sustain and harmonic content. The voice is open, dynamic and highly expressive, responding effortlessly to the lightest fingerstyle touch while offering ample headroom for more aggressive flatpicking.
